acupuncture to balance health

Acupuncture

Although an ancient technique—with records of its use predating even the Bible—only recently have scientific techniques been able to help us understand how stimulating specific points just below the skin promotes the body’s natural healing capabilities.

In acupuncture, tiny needles are used to stimulate “meridians” or “acupoints”that typically lie 1/8th -1/2 inch below the surface. We now know that stimulating these acupoints changes brain activity in regions that coordinate pain, heart rate, emotions and even hormone response.

By stimulating specific points, meridians specifically selected based on your health situation, your nervous system enhances its function thus restoring the energetic balance (Qi) in the body.

Biopuncture

Commonly used to relieve the pain and promote healing after injury, biopuncture is clinically shown to stimulate the body’s self-healing process, especially the immune system, and has become an alternative solution for many degenerative maladies. By injecting homeopathic or other natural, pharmaceutical-grade biological remedies into acupuncture points and/or tender points, biopuncture can reduce inflammation and provides a safe and natural approach that is quite different than common conventional therapies. Because the needles used are very fine and the depth of the injection is shallow there is minimal discomfort.

Hands On Healthcare helped me manage a serious change in my body last year. It took the medical doctors 5 months to come up with a diagnosis. Rheumatoid arthritis inflammation was attacking different body organs.

Dr. Childers and Phyllis helped me handle this 5 month ordeal with dietary changes, acupuncture, and cranial sacral therapy. Their PEP talks kept me fighting to get control back of my body. They gave me hope that I could defeat what was going on.

After the 5 months my body did a rapid change back to normal. I will continue to control the RA flares with the diet and lifestyle changes that Dr. Childers and Phyllis have taught me. I am so happy that I was referred to them. —Pat Moorman
